Steam Train and Cave

Experience the beauty and grandeur of the Frankische Schweiz through the window of an early 20th Century Steam Train traveling up the beautiful Wiesent Valley. Start the morning with a round-trip steam train ride lasting approximately one hour. Lunch will be at a traditional Frankische beer keller along the shore of the Wiesent River. Then venture onto a tour of the Teufelshohle (Devil’s Cave) which is a naturally formed limestone cave. While exploring the cave system, descend 400 steps deeper into the caverns filled with stalactites and stalagmites that are between 10 and 200,000 years old.

Mountainbike to Local Farm

This is a family friendly bike ride that departs for an 11km journey on mixed surface to a farm for a break to enjoy cake, coffee and ice cream while seated above an operational cow barn. The stop includes a quick walk around the farm to view animals that include calves then a return ride back in the sunshine. An amazing family friendly adventure!
