Fourth of July Freedom Fest

Join the USAG Bavaria community in Celebrating America on the Fourth of July! Our Freedom Fest Celebration starts at 6 p.m. on the Festplaz, Hohenfels.

Festivities include: family picnics, bouncy houses, games, volleyball and entertainment! And of course, don't miss the fireworks at 10:30!

This event is open to U.S. ID cardholders and Host Nation employees with valid installation passes. Entry is free. Drinks and food available for purchase -- U.S. Dollars & Euros  accepted.

Don't miss the BOSS Car Smash from 6-8 p.m.! Release your stress by destroying a car without the consequences! This event is free for USAG Bavaria community members to enjoy the fun! Each participant is required to sign-in and wear goggles -- protective gear provided. Maximum of three hits allowed per participant. No registration required. If under 18, must have parent/guardian present to participate.

Food and beverages available for purchase onsite. Picnics permitted. Outside alcohol not authorized.

FAQs

Who can attend Fourth of July?
U.S. ID cardholders and Host Nation employees with valid installation passes may escort up to three guests to the event. All guests must be escorted through Gate 1: If you are an LN employee from any organization at Hohenfels and would like to join us in our Independence Day Celebration event, to include fireworks, please contact the PMO Operations at DSN 522-4927 to submit your name and those of your family members no later than June 28. 

How do I get there?
The main entrance to the Fourth of July Celebration is Gate 1 (high school gate).

My friends are not affiliated with the DOD. Can I bring them?
Yes, but they must enter through Gate 5, the sign-on gate. All non-DOD ID cardholders over the age of 16 must have an official ID such as a Personalausweiss or Reisepass to enter. A driver's license is not enough.

Is there a shuttle?
Shuttles are not available at this event. 

What types of items are PROHIBITED from the fest?
Prohibited items include: personal fireworks of any kind, alcohol, BBQ grills, water guns, weapons and any items that may cause bodily harm as determined by law enforcement.

Schedule:

• 6 p.m.: Event opens. Enjoy bouncy castles, games, volleyball tournaments, BOSS Car Smash.
• 10:30 p.m.: Fireworks
• 11 p.m.: Event concludes
